An excellent team of administrative and support services facilitates successful and fruitful completion of a training program. State of the Art infrastructure and Hi-Tech tools and technologies motivates and encourages our trainee to compete with the competitors from any other Institutions of the region.
The expert team will monitor the applicability of the programs to the target groups of trainees and will make necessary adjustment for upgradation of the course content. The team will be constantly in touch to provide necessary assessment, examination and evaluation. The team will also provide necessary guidelines to the Faculty and Demonstrators for imparting classes’ both theory and practical.
The study materials forms a core part of the course. The study materials are developed through extensive research on needs of specific stream/ industry and academic levels of the students. The study materials are:
Our Skills for Jobs programme links every trainee to placements in the organized sector. To ensure that every trainee finds a job matching their aptitude and interest, we follow an industry led, industry endorsed training methodology.
We have embedded industry as a key stakeholder in the design and delivery of the courses. Our skills value chain integrates the inputs from prospective employers to create a programme which is “competency” driven.
Our skills value chain involves ‘learning by doing’ and is built on the foundations of partnerships. We have tie –ups with 50 plus best companies as employers, knowledge and infrastructure partners to ensure the quality of training is maintained across locations.
A variety of modes of delivery are adopted by the dedicated team of lecturers at Gyanjyoti Foundation that include seminars, workshops and case studies. The Foundation’s approach to teaching is simple but effective. We don’t believe the restrictions or boundaries in learning. The student must be able to learn irrespective of his geographical and physical location. Our aim is to help students maximize their potential by ensuring that they are taught clearly and effectively so as to facilitate success in the course assessments and examinations -which lead to success in their careers.
Lectures are used primarily to identify and explain key aspects of the subject so that students can utilize their private study time more effectively. They are the student's guide and focused route through the syllabi. Our lecture ethos is to guide, explain and teach rather than to transmit factual material which can be readily obtained from the recommended texts through private study.
Seminars complement the lectures very well. They are designed to give students an opportunity to test their understanding of the material covered in lectures and private study by reference usually to a set of questions identified in advance. Seminars are interactive sessions conducted by students. They give students an excellent opportunity to clarify any points of difficulty with the tutor and simultaneously develop their oral communication skills.
Workshops are an innovative form of student-centered learning. They involve students working in small groups but with a difference, the students lead and the tutor acts as a facilitator. The sessions consider problems and essay questions, case studies and tackle the conceptually challenging aspects of the subject.
An important learning methodology at GJF is the extensive use of case studies. Case studies enable the students to apply the concepts that they learn in their subjects. The students have to study the case, analyse the facts presented, and arrive at conclusions and recommendations. The case study tests the student's ability to apply to the real world the tools and techniques of analysis which they have learnt. The case study serves as a supplement to the theoretical knowledge imparted through the course work.
The Mentor of the batches will report about the attendance of the trainee to the expert team and will consult the remedial measures to be taken. Trainees with less than 90% (in any case) of attendance will not be allowed for certification and stipend. Regular encouragement and motivation will be provided by the mentor. Moreover, any problem faced by any trainee will be settled by the mentor of the concerned batch.
The expert team, with the help of faculty and Mentor, will conduct assessment and evaluation of the trainee and the progress of the training course as per the schedule. The assessment methods will include practical test, group work, essays, presentations, written assessment and case studies. We will conduct two sets of assessment to each batch within the 6 week or 8 week duration to measure the competency and skill development.
Finally our team will conduct an examination including written test, practical test and viva on respective course. The cumulative performance in assessment and examination will be considered for final grading of a trainee.
Since the programmes at GJF have been validated by industry, they conform to the high academic and evaluation standards expected out of Professional courses. Varied methods of assessments depending upon the demands of each module are employed. Modules can be assessed with the help of closed book examinations, open book examinations, assignments, course work, case studies, group activities and dissertation depending on the course. Each piece of assessment is marked twice, once by the tutor of the module and then by an external examiner to ensure that marking has been done keeping in view the high demands on quality. The programmes are challenging and students tend to enjoy the high pressures of these programmes.
We have full time placement & training cell, which work round the year for placement to the trained candidate. Candidates will be placed based on the grades obtained in the final assessment and examination.
The team will also help to engage training centre in different location for conducting practical classes. Maintenance of the database of trained and placed students and formation of alumni association will be another responsibility of the team.
